WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (October 17, 2025) - The third day of the 2025 NISA Pro Cup provided the sense of drama that everyone was waiting for.
The final three matches of the day were all one-goal affairs, with every one determining who moves on and who goes home.
It was a heart-wrenching end of the tournament for many.
Capo FC 6, Modesto City FC 0
The morning matches have all been slow starts but once Capo FC found the back of the net the first time the goals started to flow.
Daniel Segal scored his first two of the tournament - including on from a well-placed free kick - as Capo FC (2-1-0) secured its place as the No. 2 seed in the semifinals. Jonathan Estrada scored his first from open play for his third goal of the NISA Pro Cup.
It was a passionate but futile display from Modesto City FC (0-0-3), which allowed 22 goals over three matches.
Los Angeles Wolves 1, DC Hyper 0
It didn't look good early on for the defending NISA champions.
Reduced to 10 men after Josue Cartegena was sent off in the first half, Joel Quist scored with an acrobatic finish and goalkeeper Mark Gamez made two crucial saves in the second half as Los Angeles Force (3-0-0) advance as the No. 1 seed in the semifinals.
Despite scoring twice on own goals early in the NISA Pro Cup, DC Hyper (1-0-2) poured it on in the second half but a breakthrough did not come.
Peak XI FC 2, Arkansas Wolves SC 1
The undergoat has a bite of a bite after all.
Towering centerback Sacko Konate scored first, and Ethan Loomis added the match winner as Peak XI FC (1-1-1) picked up its play in each game and managed to find a way into the semifinals.
Arkansas Wolves SC (1-0-2) got one across the line via an own goal in the second half but averaged loss than two goals per match as its tournament comes to an end.
NOCO Hailstorm 1, Sin City FC 0
With the last spot in the semifinals up for grabs, NISA veteran Travis Ward reached out.
Ward, who previously played for Stumptown AC, Chattanooga FC and Maryland Bobcats FC in NISA, hammered home a rebound in the 71st minute to lead NOCO Hailstorm (2-0-1) into the knockout rounds.
Two days after scoring 12 goals on Matchday 2, Sin City FC (1-1-1) produced opportunities but did not convert and exits the NISA Pro Cup despite leading the tournament in scoring.
