WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (October 15, 2025) - The teams have settled in and now they know what they're up against.
After an interesting first day of action, all eight sides are ready to be great on Matchday 2
Here are the matchups:
Peak XI FC (0-0-1) vs. Los Angeles Force (1-0-0)
Wednesday, 9 a.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Turf Field
The last team to join the NISA Pro Cup, Peak XI FC was thrown into the tougher of the two groups and faces another difficult task in this matchup. A solid goalkeeper and backline will only get you so far. The Goats will need to find some attack-minded play and even a few goals to keep Los Angeles Force from running away with another victory. The defending NISA champions scored a 4-2 win over Arkansas Wolves in its opener, getting a goal and an assist from Belizean international Michael Salazar, who came on as a second-half substitute. If sneaky poacher Jose Cartegena continues to find the back of the net, L.A. Force could find itself locked into a spot in the semifinals and it could be another long day for Peak XI.
Capo FC (0-1-0) vs. NOCO Hailstorm (1-0-0)
Wednesday, 12 p.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Turf Field
Both Capo FC and Northern Colorado Hailstorm are coming off victories in their openers, albeit in very different ways. Jonathan Estrada scored a first-half penalty kick for Capo FC and then scored the first one in the shootout as the Swallows earned a 3-2 win over Sin City FC on the Dome Field. Bamadele Esan had the first two goals as the Northern Colorado ran away from an undermanned Modesto City FC side before walking away with the win at halftime. With plenty of its roster still unused, there'll be loads of Hailstorm players itching to hit the pitch in this one. The winner locks in a spot in the semifinals. Can Capo continue to keep its composure?
Modesto City FC (0-0-1) vs. Sin City FC (0-1-0)
Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Dome Field
Neither team is happy with the way things went on Monday and absolutely need three points to have a chance at a spot in the semifinals. Modesto City FC had more players arrive on Tuesday and will be better stocked for this matchup. Milo Barton, the son of legend Warren Barton, will look to start this match for the Central California side. Sin City FC battled back against Capo FC to earn a 1-1 full-time draw but lost in the shootout and will be putting its best foot forward from the start. David Villanueva, already a NISA Nation Player of the Week this season, had the opening goal of the tournament for the North Las Vegas, NV-based club.
Arkansas Wolves SC vs. DC Hyper
Wednesday, 2:30 p.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Turf Field
Drawn with perhaps the toughest first two matchups of the NISA Pro Cup, Arkansas Wolves SC will be playing for its tournament lives after dropping its opener 4-2 to L.A. Force. Goalscorer George Almeida, who previously played professionally for Irvine Zeta FC and scored a goal in last year's NISA Championship Final, was a late add to the Wolves roster and has already proven himself a difference maker. DC Hyper controlled the tempo against Peak XI FC, firing in cross until an own goal gave them a breakthrough. Fabio Junior added a second and DC Hyper sits on top of Group B heading into the second matchday. Should the team with the heavy Brazilian influence be considered the favorite?
